Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) 21st Call is open now.
KIIT-TBI as one of the BIG partners invites innovative proposals with potential for commercialization.
Keeping in view that the BIG-20th call for BIG Grant is opened on 1st July 2022, KIIT TBI is organizing a Grant Writing session on BIG Grant on 09th July 2022 .
The webinar is open for all innovators/startups, and the participants who attend the session will get a further opportunity for subsequent multiple one-on-one mentoring sessions on BIG grant writing with leaders of the startup ecosystem.
To brief, BIG is the flagship programme of BIRAC, which provides the right admixture of fuel and support to young startups and entrepreneurial individuals.
BIG is the largest early stage biotech funding programme in india. Funding grant of upto INR 50 lakhs to best in class innovative ideas to build and refine idea to proof-of-concept.
The Purpose of the BIG scheme is to:
· Foster generation of ideas with commercialization potential
· Upscale and validate of proof of concept
· Encourage researchers to take technology closer to market through a start-up
· Stimulate enterprise formation
As part of this scheme, successful BIG Innovators receive up to INR 50 lakh for research projects with commercialization potential with a duration of up to 18 months.
Eligible Entities Include
· Individual Entrepreneur with Graduate degree in any discipline, Research Scholar, Scientist
· Start-up having a registered company/ LLP incorporated on/after 1st July, 2017
Grant Money: INR 50 lakhs
Duration: 18 months
Call open from: 1st July 2022
Call ends: 16th August 2022 (5:30 PM)
