நிலையான இடத்தில் மனிதன் வாழ ஆரம்பித்த பின் மனித நாகரிகத்தின் எழுச்சியில் வேளாண்மை ஒரு முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்துள்ளது.

குழந்தை தொழிலாளர் எதிர்ப்பு நாள் (World Day Against Child Labour) உலகம் முழுவதும் ஆண்டுதோறும் சூன் 12 ஆம் தேதி கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் ஓர் அங்கமான பன்னாட்டு தொழிலாளர் அமைப்பினால் (ஐ.எல்.ஓ) அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த நாள் குழந்தைத் தொழிலாளர்கள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த 2002ம் ஆண்டு முதல் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஐ.எல்.ஓ வின் 138 மற்றும் 182வது உடன்படிக்கைகளின் ஏற்பினால் தூண்டப்பட்டு இந்த நாள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

நீதிக்கதை

 ஆனந்தாவும் புத்தரும் ஒரு வழியில் நடந்து சென்றார்கள். அப்போது எதிரே வந்த ஒருவன் மிகுந்த

கோபத்துடன் புத்தர் முகத்தில் காறி எச்சிலை துப்பினான்..

 புத்தர் தன் மேல்துண்டால்அதை 

துடைத்து விட்டு.. "இன்னும் எதாவது சொல்ல விரும்புகிறாயா..?" என்றார்.

 அருகில் நின்ற ஆனந்தாவுக்கு கோபம் வந்தது. புத்தர் ஆனந்தாவை

பார்த்து சொன்னார் "ஆனந்தா.. இவர் ஏதோ சொல்ல விரும்புகிறார்.. ஆனால் அவருக்கு வார்த்தைகள் இல்லாததால் இந்த செயலை செய்து விட்டார்.. வார்த்தைகள்

பலவீனமானவை .இவர் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்..?" என்று கூறிவிட்டு சென்றுவிட்டார்.

துப்பியவனுக்கு அன்று முழுவதும் குற்றஉணர்வால் நித்திரையே வரவில்லை. அடுத்த நாள் காலை புத்தரை தேடியலைந்து கண்டு அவரது காலில் விழுந்து அழுதான்..

 அப்போதும் புத்தர் ஆனந்தாவை பார்த்து சென்னார்."இன்றும் இவர் ஏதோ சொல்ல விரும்புகிறார் ஆனந்தா..! ஆனால் வார்த்தைகள்

பலவீனமானதால் இச்செயலை செய்துவிட்டார்..!" என்றார். 

அவன் எழுந்து கேட்டான் "நான் துப்பிய போது நீங்கள் ஏன் திருப்பி ஒரு வார்த்தைகூட ஏசவில்லை..?"என்று. 

அப்போது புத்தர் அழகான பதில் சொன்னார்.. " எண்ணியது போல் நடக்கநான் என்ன உன் அடிமையா.. ?" என்றார்...
